Mrs. Rose McBurney, 79, 607 Avalon Apts., Saskatoon, died recently in a local hospital. Funeral service was held in the Park Funeral Chapel with Rev. M. Nicholson officiating. Burial was made in the Gull Lake cemetery. Mrs. McBurney was born in England and went to the Moosomin district in 1881 and later to the Souris district. She was married in Winnipeg in 1902 and moved to the Gull Lake district in 1911. For the last five years she had resided in Saskatoon. She was past mistress of the Gull Lake LOBA. Her husband died in 1941. Surviving are three daughters, Ruth, Mrs. K. G. Riddell, Cornwall, Ont.; Alma, Mrs. Timothy Nelson, Vermillion, Alta.; Audrey, Mrs. William Dumonsky, Manitouwadge, Ont.; two sons Arthur L., Saskatoon; Wilbert R., with the RCAF in Winnipeg, Man.; one sister, Mrs. Jessie Rogers, Vancouver, B.C., one stepsister, Mrs. Beth Davies, Edmonton; three brothers, Albert and Arthur, Seattle, Wash.; James, Vancouver. 8
