Morley Hardaker, devoted husband and father, passed away May 13, 2019 after a hard-fought battle against normal-pressure hydrocephalus and effects of a recent stroke.
After childhood in Oakland and Carmichael, Morley's family moved to Davis during his high school years. He graduated from Davis High School and has resided in Davis ever since. Morley joined his father in the Hardaker & Sons Scientific Photography concession at UC Davis. Later, he worked for the California Department of Justice as a videographer and photographer.
His passions included caving, sports car rallying, geocaching, astronomy, traveling, and camping and hiking in the Sierras as well as the Anza Borrego desert.
Morley is survived by Lorell, his loving wife of 50 years; their children Wesley Hardaker (Dawn) and Lisa Inman (Chris); and grandchildren Jenna Inman, Joshua Inman, Caleb Inman, Katie Hardaker and Nathan Hardaker; along with many beloved family members and friends. His parents Lorne and Rose Hardaker and his brothers Ed (Betty) and Warren (survived by Nancy) preceded him in death.
A Celebration of Life will begin at 1 p.m. Saturday, June 1, at University Covenant Church, 315 Mace Blvd. in Davis.
