Hulda Ruth Porter Jansen 81 of Modesto died Friday at Scenic Circle Care Center.

Mrs, Jansen was a native of Sacramento. She lived in Modesto seven years. She was a teacher for the Palo Alto Los Altos and Lodi Unified school districts. She graduated from San Jose State University. She played the cello in the San Jose State University Symphony. She was a member of the Methodist Church in Los Altos and Lodi. She was also a member of California Association PEO and the California PTA. She enjoyed classical music and traveling. She was a bridge master. She is survived by her children Judith Tognolini of Modesto and Linda Rae Jansen of Ashland, Ore. and three grandchildren. Services will be private. No public visitation. The Colonial Chapel of Franklin Downs in charge of arrangements. Remembrances may be made to Gallo Arts Center, P.O. Box 1579, Modesto 95353. ⁴
