Bethel Tabernacle was the scene of a charming wedding ceremony at six o'clock on Saturday evening, when Miss Winnifred Flora Bower, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. H. L. Bower, of Woodroffe, became the bride of Mr. Reginald Hobson, of Ottawa, son of Mr. and Mrs. J. E. Hobson, of Kingston, formerly of Ottawa, who were unable to attend the wedding because of illness.

Asters and gladioli, with an effective banking of ferns, were used, and the ceremony was performed by Rev. Earl Williams, of Arnprior. Mrs. Ralph Hobson was the pianist, and Mr. Bruce Hobson, of Kingston, sang "Because" very effectively.

Given in marriage by her father, the bride was attended by her sister, Miss Eunice Bower. Mr. Ralph Hobson, brother of the bridegroom, wast best man, and the ushers wre Mr. George Hobson, brother of the bridegroom, and Mr. Donald McKechnie.

The bride wore a lovely dress of white pointe d'esprit, designed in redingote style, over taffeta. She wore a waist length veil, with a cluster of roses in her hair. Her shower bouquet was of Briarcliffe roses.

The bridesmaid was gowned in becoming yellow taffeta with an orchid hat, and a bouquet of yellow Pernet roses and orchid gladioli.

Mrs. Bower, mother of the bride, chose a dress of rust triple sheer, with brown accessories, and a shoulder knot of Talisman roses.

Following a reception, Mr. and Mrs. Hobson left on a motor trip to Kingston, Hamilton and points in the United States. The bride travelled in a navy blue suit of imported English botany, made in Russian style, with matching accessories.

Out-of-town guests were Mr. and Mrs. Bruce Hobson, Kingston; Mr. and Mrs. Willis Van Allen, Mountain, Ont.; Mrs. Howard Bower, Cut Knofe, Sask., and Rev Earl Williams, of Arnprior.
