• His obituary was published in the Ottawa Citizen on 23 Jul 2016. It read as follows:
Craig Kulig 1993-2016 Craig William Kulig passed away after a courageous battle with cancer on July 18th at the very young age of 23. Craig was born in Ottawa, graduated from Osgoode Township High School in 2011 and was half way through the Mechanical Engineering Technology program at Algonquin College. Beloved son and buddy to Bruce and Angela Kulig (nee McMillan). Cherished big brother and soul mate to Mitchell and Katrina. Boyfriend and Prince to Lexie Parker (birdy bird) and best friend to Nick Steting and Jason Sladky. Cousin and best friend to Jason Sheney and Erik Visser. With knowledge beyond his years, Craig became a valuable resource for his family, friends and cousins. Craig would spend hours studying the mechanics, the technology, as well as the history behind everything he had an interest in or worked on. An avid Toyota enthusiast, Craig took great pride in his Corollas and his 4AGE 20 Valve engine imported from Japan. Craig's other big loves were ripping down the Ompah ATV trails, camping and jamming on his favourite acoustic bass guitar. You fought your disease with incredible determination, perseverance and patience. You maintained a sense of humour at all times. Doctors praised you for your strong spirit and how you never complained about the pain. You were a ROCK; you were our hero; you made us SO VERY proud, now rest in peace. We love you profoundly - you will remain forever in our hearts. The celebration of life will be held at Stanley's Olde Maple Lane Farm, 2452 Yorks Corners Road in Edwards on July 28th from 6PM to 11PM.
