In an Ottawa hospital on Wednesday, September 3, 1986, age 81, Earl Bower, eldest son of the late Samuel Bower and his wife Frances Moxley. Only brother of Albert and his wife Kathleen, of Osgoode. Survived by 1 nephew, Wendell Bower, of Osgoode and 1 niece, Mrs. Lois Marsh, of Kemptville. Visitation for the late Earl Bower will be held at the Rolston Funeral Home, Kemptville, on Thursday from noon until 2 p.m. Funeral Service will be held in the Chapel of the Funeral Home, on Thursday, at 2 p.m. Interment, South Gower Cemetery. 19



• His obituary was published in the Winchester Press on 10 Sep 1986 in Winchester, Dundas, Ontario, Canada. It read as follows:

Earle E. Bower of RR2 Mountain died in hospital on Wed., Sept. 3. He was 81. Born in Mountain Township he was the son of the late Samuel Bower and Frances Moxley. Mr. Bower lived all of his life on the family farm and in later years spending the winters in Vancouver, B.C.

He will be sadly missed by his relatives and neighbors. Mr. Bower was the only brother of Albert and his wife Kathleen of Osgoode and is survived by one nephew, Wendell Bower of Osgoode and one niece, Lois Marsh of Kemptville.

Visitation for the late Earl Bower was held at the Rolston Funeral Home, Kemptville, where the funeral service was held in the chapel on Thurs., Sept. 4 at 2pm. Interment was in the family plot in South Gower Cemetery. Lt. David Carey of the Salvation Army officiated. The pallbearers were Eldrid Clark, Lawson Smith, Erwin McCarger and William Gibson, all neighbors. 20
