He was buried at the Margny Community cemetery in Margny, , Champagne-Ardenne, France in 1944. 1

He served in the military as an air bomber at the rank of Flying Officer during WWII in 1944. 1 2 He was member of Royal Air Force 207 Squadron and the bomb aimer on the crew of the Lancaster EM-T ME681 that was shot down on 19 July 1944. The crew members of Lancaster EM-T ME681 buried in the Communal Cemetery of the tiny village of Margny were:
