Her obituary was published in the Ottawa Journal on 27 Jan 1944. It read as follows:

A former resident of Ottawa for 18 years, Mrs. Louise Fennell died on Wednesday in Toronto at the home of a son, Robert Fennell, K.C., in her 87th year. She had been ill only a short time.

Born at Carp, a daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Robert Argue, she spent her early years and received her education there. Many years ago she married Joshua Fennell, who predeceased her two years ago. For some years she resided in Englehart where her husband operated a general store.

Following the death of Mr. Fennell, sge moved to Toronto where she resided with her son ever since. While living in Ottawa she was a member of Southminster United Church. She was the last of a family of 10 childre.

Surviving are two sons, Robert of Toronto, and Claude, of Englehart; several vieces and nephews, among them Mrs. Edgar Kedey and Mrs. Frank Hird, of Ottawa, and also eight grandchildren. A son Harold, was killed in the First Great War.

The funeral will be held on Friday at Carp with funeral service in St. Paul's United Church at 11 o'clock. Interment will take place at Huntley United Church cemetery. 5

An interesting event transpired last evening at the Carp, it being the marriage of Miss Louise Argue youngest daughter of Mr. Robt. Argue to Mr. Joshua Fennell, the bride being supported by Miss Popham of Ottawa, and Miss Hunt of Fitzroy, and the groom by Mr. Ira Bower of Ottawa.
