Her obituary was published in the Ottawa Journal on 28 Jul 1930. Two obituaries were published. The first read as follows:

Following an illness of a year the death occured this morning at the home of her son, Ira M. Bower, 109 Ossington avenue, of Mrs. Annie M, Bower, widow of Albert Bower.

Mrs. Bower was in her 75th year and was born at Kars, Ont. Practically all her life had been spent at Osgoode, Ont. from which place she came to Ottawa four years ago. She was a member of the United Church.

Left to mourn her death are three sons, Albert Howard of Cutknife, Sask., Wilbert L. and Ira M. of Ottawa; one daughter, Mrs. Willis Van Allen, Mountain, Ont.; two sisters, Mrs. Albert Barrows, Kars, Ont., and Mrs I. Stevenson, Valetta, Ont., and two brothers, Thomas J. Fennell, Melford, Sask., and Joshua Fennell, Ottawa.

Funeral arrangements have not been completed yet.

The second read as follows:

The funeral of Mrs. Annie M. Bower, widow of Albert Bower, whose death occurred on Monday, in her 75th year, at the home of her son, Ira M. Bower, was held from the residence, 109 Ossington Avenue, at 2:30 o'clock yesterday afternoon, and was largely attended.

The funeral service was conducted by Rev. H. L. Morrison, of Kemptville United Church, formerly of Calvin-Ottawa South United Church, Ottawa. Following the service, a lengthy cortege proceeded to Kars United Church cemetery, where interment took place.

Chief mourners at the funeral were two of Mrs. Bower's three sons, Wilbert L. and Ira M. Bower, of Ottawa; one daughter, Mrs. Willis Van Allen, Mountain, Ont.; one sister, Mrs. Albert Barrows, Kars, Ont., and two brothers, Thomas J. Fennell, Melford, Sask., and Joshua Fennell, of Ottawa.

Many beautiful floral offerings were received by the family. 14



She was buried at the Rideauvale cemetery in Kars (now Ottawa), Carleton, Ontario, Canada on 30 Jul 1930. 15
