FEICK-William Jr. Known to all his friends in various parts of the world as ''The Man who was larger than Life'' died peacefully August 14, in New York. He had homes in Palm Beach, Florida, and Toronto, Canada. Mr. Feick joined the USNR as Lt. (J.G.) in 1944 serving in the Pacific Theater-Amphibious Corp. for three years and later was a Captain in the LST China Theater. A graduate of Amherst College Class of '47, he joined the Crocker Bank in San Francisco in charge of corporate client relations eastcoast U.S. In 1956 he became Treasurer and Chief Financial Officer of The Flintkote Company in New York and in 1959 was named Vice President-Marketing. In 1963 he joined the investment advisory firm of MacKay-Shields Financial Corporation as a partner. Following the sale of the firm to New York Life Insurance Company, he became Managing Director of William D. Witter, Inc. an investment advisory firm, in 1987. Mr. Feick was a member of the Bohemian Club, San Francisco; Ekwanok Country Club, Manchester, Vermont; The York Club, Toronto; The University Club, New York; Shinnecock Hills Golf CLub, Long Island, New York; Long Island Wyandanch Club and the Everglades Club, Palm Beach, Florida. Mr. Feick was a Trustee of Green Mountain College, Poultney, Vermont where he was honored with a degree of Doctor of Humane Letters. He served as Financial Chairman of the Peggy Guggenheim Collection, Venice, Italy. Mr. Feick is survived by his beloved wife, Posy; sons Kurt, Fritz and Alex; a sister Nancy Kendall of Marion, Massachusetts; 6 grandchildren, Andrea, Rainer, Greer, Grainne, Kaylee and Brant Feick; step-children Gayle Willson and Brian Boxer and step-grandchildren Blakely and Tiffany Willson. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Green Mountain College or The Peggy Guggenheim Collection. 2
William married Rosemary Elizabeth FENNELL, daughter of Robert Elmer FENNELL and Dorothy Victoria Scott RAFF, in 1989 in , , Vermont, United States.1 (Rosemary Elizabeth FENNELL was born on 15 Aug 1921 4 and died on 7 Jul 2008 3.). The cause of her death was pneumonia.
