Born April 8, 1914, in Wilkinsburg, son of the late Stephen Roger and Ruth (Bower) Hosmer Sr. Survived by wife, the former Elizabeth Tressler, and 4 children: Emma Ruth Marascalco, Pleasant Hills; Stephen Roger Hosmer III and Darlene Morrison, both of Confluence, and Nancy Fazenbaker, Champion; 9 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by a brother and a sister. U.S. Army veteran of World War II. Member of Confluence VFW Post 7250 and Trinity Lutheran Church, Confluence. Former member of Confluence Volunteer Fire Department. Owned and operated Bower Cleaners in Confluence for over 40 years. Friends received from 1-to 9 p.m. today (Monday) at Humbert Funeral Home, Confluence, where service will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, with Rev. John Palko and Rev. William Triebe officiating.
